the story

Sébastien Meunier founded his brand one special night in April 1998, when a jury presided by Hussein Chalayan, Martine Sitbon, and Jean Colonna awarded him the grand prize of the 13th Hyères International Fashion and Photography Festival. Immediately propelled into the arena of Paris fashion shows, the brand will never cease questioning the human body and its possible relationships with garments.

Ergonomic cuts, dismembered tailoring and anatomical seams, as well as geometric cutouts revealing the body, are some of the design signatures that will help defining a new vision of masculinity. Highly autobiographical, the brand has always borrowed from the worlds of performing and contemporary arts and goes beyond the field of fashion, anticipating the evolution of society by putting the conversations on gender identity, individuality, and sexuality at the very heart of the runway.

As early as 2000, Sébastien Meunier caught the attention of Martin Margiela leading to a decade-long collaboration, initially as head of design for MM6 and then as creative director for all men’s lines of Maison Martin Margiela. In 2010, Ann Demeulemeester invited him to join her in Antwerp and later chose him as her successor. In 2025, Sébastien Meunier returned to his creative roots by unveiling a new chapter of his eponymous brand.

« I am not just making clothes; I am creating bodies » — Sébastien.
